Now, with Trump 2.0 and the 119th Congress, a revised version of the Ships Act is receiving increased attention on Capitol Hill , after seemingly getting stalled in the morass that is Washington, DC. One recent development providing a hint of forward progress was an announcement by Saronic Shipyard that it would be investing $3.2bn in a nascent yard facility in Brownsville, Texas. Saronic is presently active in the production of drone-type boats that have been deployed by the US in the ongoing Iran conflict, including in the recent rescue of downed aircraft pilots. The deal would see Saronic leasing 4,000+ acres from the Port of Brownsville for a term of up to 50 years. Earlier this year, Saroni
